Purple Heart Homes is dedicated to finding personalized solutions that will make existing homes meet the specific needs of Service Connected Disabled Veterans who have served and sacrificed on our behalf. After a thorough verification process, Purple Heart Homes identifies the needs of the disabled veteran and determines the scope of work required to modify, adapt or build, a home that is accessible barrier-free and safe.
We make it our goal to partner with local, professional contractors who are willing to take ownership of the process, thus enabling them to use their existing network of tradesmen and material suppliers. In this way we can fully involve the community allowing them to quickly address the needs of the wounded veteran and find a suitable community based solutions.
When possible we schedule the workflow of our projects so that there are several workdays available
for employees of contributing corporations or volunteers from the community to be involved in several aspects of the project that are appropriate and safe for non-skilled persons who wish to contribute.
