Marine Couple, Purple Heart Recipients Receive New Home
U.S. Marine veterans Samantha and Benjamin Christopher were welcomed into their new home in Gastonia, North Carolina, thanks to the combined efforts of Purple Heart Homes and Bank of America. The couple enlisted together in 2009, trained at Parris Island, and served in Afghanistan, where both were wounded during their 2013 deployment. On Tuesday, they received the keys to their new home, a gesture honoring their shared sacrifice and continued recovery.
