Celebrating the Future: Ethan Emory Receives the Katherine Baich Endowed Scholarship

Today, Purple Heart Homes had the distinct honor of presenting the Katherine Baich Endowed Scholarship to a remarkable young man with big dreams and a bright future - Ethan Emory of Harmony, NC.

Ethan recently graduated from the Agriculture & Science Early College at North Iredell High School and is preparing to take his next big step this fall as he heads to Brevard College. There, he plans to double major in Business and Criminology, all while playing football for the Tornados. Ethan aspires to become a Forensic Scientist or work within the Criminal Services field - goals that reflect his drive, curiosity, and dedication to making a difference in the world.

The scholarship check was presented to Ethan by Dusty McAlpine, Chairman of the Katherine Baich Scholarship Committee. The presentation was a heartfelt moment, surrounded by members of the Scholarship Committee, PHH staff, and most importantly, Ethan’s proud family.

The Katherine Baich Endowed Scholarship was established to honor the legacy of Katherine Baich, a dedicated and compassionate member of the Purple Heart Homes family. The scholarship supports high-achieving students pursuing higher education, with a commitment to service, community, and leadership - qualities Katherine deeply valued and which Ethan embodies.
