Purple Heart Homes Expands Modular Veteran Tiny Homes Program into Virginia

Last Updated 3/10/2025Posted in Press Releases, In The News

Purple Heart Homes is proud to announce that it has become licensed to build modular Veteran Tiny Homes (VTH) at its North Carolina manufacturing facility, and place these homes in Virginia for Veterans facing homelessness and housing insecurity. This initiative comes in response to numerous applications from Veterans residing in Virginia who are in need of a safe and stable place to call home.

The VTHs are designed as traditional stick-built homes, placed on a permanent block foundation, providing Veterans with a sense of pride and ownership. These homes symbolize the respect and appreciation for their service to our nation.

This expansion of the program has been made possible through the generous support of The Home Depot Foundation, which has been a vital partner in advancing housing solutions for Veterans.

"Purple Heart Homes has been serving Veterans in Virginia since 2016 through our Aging in Place Program. In Virginia alone we have served 44 Veterans and their families, investing over $365,000 into their homes to make them safe and accessible," said John Gallina, Co-Founder and CEO of Purple Heart Homes. "When we first started manufacturing Tiny Homes, we knew immediately that we wanted to expand into adjoining states. We are thankful for our partnership with The Home Depot Foundation, for their work supporting Veteran housing and our first step of expansion of the Tiny Home program into the state of Virginia."

The introduction of modular Veteran Tiny Homes represents a significant step forward in addressing the urgent need for housing solutions for Veterans. Purple Heart Homes remains committed to ensuring that those who have served our country are provided with the dignity and respect they deserve through safe and secure housing options.
